Review: ELF Peachy Keen Blush

Happy Sunday everyone. How are you all doing? If you ask me, I'm doing great. Last Thursday was my birthday and it was awesome, spent it with my friends and family. I'm already 19, and it's amazing how time passed by so quickly. I remember when I posted my first blog post it was about my 17th birthday.

Enough talking, let's get to the main point of this post. As the title says, I'm going to be talking about the ELF Peachy Keen blush. I got this 2 months ago when I went to Manila for a very short vacation. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for it, but I'm pretty sure it was less than P250.

The packaging reminds me a lot of NARS blushes, except for the little window and the plastic packaging. Just like what I said before, I would much rather prefer ELF's packaging than NARS' rubber packaging. It also has a mirror inside which I think is useless because I find it too small.

I would describe it as peach blush with a gold sheen, if that even made sense. Anyway, I know I suck at describing the color, and swatch sucks too, sorry for that. I love how the blush just warms up my face and give off a certain glow when I wear it. It was the perfect summer blush for me. For the lasting power, it's about 3-4 hours, same as the blush from the blush/bronzer duo.

And this is how the blush look like on me, taken under natural lighting.

The blush is great for wearing alone or layering it with another blush. When I layer it with another blush, I usually use my MAC Fleur Power blush which is a satin, just to add some shimmer and glow. I highly recommend ELF Peachy Keen blush. :)

Don't worry if I post random pictures of me here from time to time, it's not that I'm going crazy or anything, I just really want to share them with you. ;)

Have you ever felt like you're really bored, and then you just feel a sudden urge to play with makeup? Well, I kind of felt that tonight. I wanted to make myself not look like me. I don't know if that even made sense, but have fun with the pictures.

I know it doesn't look neat because I was just playing around awhile ago. Slapping all sorts of product on to my face.

Hey everyone. Please don't mind the title, I just can't think of a good title that's why I decided to use that. I should be doing a speech for tomorrow's English class, but instead, I'm here doing a post. Bad girl Nikki. Well anyway, this is just going to be quick. ;)

Last night, I offered to do my friend's makeup for a party she's going to. She wanted me to teach her how to do her makeup, but I offered to do it anyway since I had nothing to do last night. She was wearing a red dress with black shoes. I decided to keep it simple since I don't want her to go over the top because it's not her party.

I just thought it would be nice to share with you my experience last night. I better go and start making my speech now. I hope you all have a safe week ahead. :)

Before anything else, I wanna greet you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know I'm very late, but as they say 'Better late than never.' Again, I apologize for not posting for about a month. Truth is, I just don't have anything to write here. I know, lame excuse. Sorry.

To make up for my absence, I wanna show you all my collective haul. These are things that I bought online and in store, from a swap, and my Christmas gift from my elder brother.

And also, I wanna give a heads up to my Davao-based readers, L.A. Girl is now available in NCCC Mall. So we now have L.A. Colors and L.A. Girl. I tried out their lipsticks and I like it. It reminds me of the NYX Round Lipsticks, only cheaper and a tad better. :)

Color madness. O_O

Ever since I started out my love for makeup, I have always wanted to get the 88 palette. Everyone knows it, and everyone has it. I wanted to get the 88 Matte palette but I find matte to be very boring sometimes. Then I wanted to get the 88 Shimmer palette but I don't like to have just shimmers. I also wanted to get the 88 Warm palette but I find it too neutral. I wanted to get a palette with a mix of matte, satin and shimmer. Lo and behold, the Avant Garde Palette from Dollface Cosmetics. My bestfriend bought me this as her Christmas present, this is why I love Christmas. ;)

It's very colorful, I'm in awe. It reminds me of my water color set back when I was younger. One shadow had a chip though, but it's okay because the color can be easily duped. I got it for P900 + 75 for shipping. I think it's reasonable. It was packed very well, tons and tons of bubble wrap. The seller, Ms. Pearl was also very accommodating. I'm very happy with this palette. I can't wait to start playing with it. :D

Hey everyone. Yesterday was happy day for me, it's because my grandpa bought me his Christmas gift. My laptop Fernando has been put to rest for a couple of months now, that's the reason why I haven't been blogging that much. My cousin just lets me borrow hers when I need to do something online. About a month ago, I asked my grandpa if I could get a new toy for Christmas and he said yes. I decided to get a netbook since it's small and I could easily bring it to school. As I'm making this post, I'm using my new netbook. Exciting. :D And of course, I named him already. His name is Rambo. ;) I have a thing for naming my toys.

That's it for my quick post. I can now officially start blogging again. Before I end this, I'm gonna leave you a photo of what I've been eating since yesterday.

I know I keep on talking about Christmas here, I'm sorry, I just can't help it. I have always loved Christmas, there's just something about it that makes me smile. It's funny how time passes by. When I was younger, I would ask toys and art stuff for Christmas, and now 11 years after, I'm asking for makeup. ;) Anyway, I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping, I just have to think about what to get my elder brother. Any suggestions? He's 20 years old and I have no idea what to get him. O_O And also, exam week is finally over, hello Christmas break. :D

Okay, enough talking, let's get to the fun part. As the title says, this would probably be my last purchase for the year. I just bought 3 things, nothing really grand, but it got me very excited.

Since I ran out of my Maybelline Dream Matte Powder, and I don't want to use my MAC MSFN for an everyday powder, I got the Fanny Serrano Two-Way Cake, as recommended by Thiamere. I bought it for P399 which I find a bit pricey. I got the shade Chino. Love the coverage and how smooth it goes on.

Next, blushes. I'm very happy with these two blushes that I got. Again, I got it from Ivy.

Mocha is described as soft plum-pink and it's matte. I thought it would be a brown blush judging from the name, but it isn't, although it has a little bit of brown in it. I love the color and I think this would be my everyday blush from now on. Move over NYX Angel blush. :p

Fleur Power is described as soft bright pinkish-coral and it's satin. It is very bright so I really need a light hand when using this. I also use it with a stippling brush because it is very pigmented. This would be good for everyday too if I want a pop of color.

I got the blushes for P650 each which is very cheap compared to others. The seller, Ivy, is very patient and accommodating too. I'm one happy customer. :)

Honestly, I envy people with perfect brows. I hate mine with a passion. Well, not really, I just don't like it. I talked about it here, I did the My Perfect Imperfections Tag.

Anyway, I've been watching a lot of brow tutorials on YouTube, I tried it tonight,and voila! It still doesn't look right. I decided to give up and just play around. Here's the outcome:

Do you like it? Me? I love it. I think it's not over the top, and it's perfect for everyday. ;D

Oh yes it is. I am very excited, and I bet you all are too. ;) Anyway, since I was feeling the Christmas season, I decided to come up with a look since I didn't know what else to do awhile ago. I came up with a bronze and green look, I don't know with you, but I find those two colors a bit festive. :)

And to add up a little bit of the festive feel, I wore MAC Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick on my lips, which I love by the way. ;)

In here I wore Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude to tone down the look a little.

Nail Polish Haul

Hey everyone, it's been almost a month since I posted here. Again, I'm sorry for being MIA all the time. Same reason, I'm still busy with school and stuff since second semester just started. I haven't been buying a lot of makeup lately, I'm trying to save up for Christmas which is fast approaching. Aren't we all excited? :D

Anyway, yesterday I went to Chimes. It's a specialty store here in Davao which sells a whole lot of stuff. Stuff that usually see in the mall. They sell more like imported things. They also sell some high-end cosmetics which is cool. I passed by the nail polish section and was amazed with the selection. It was bigger now compared to the last time I went. Then I found these nail polishes with cute bottles, at first I looked at the colors they had, they had about 30 cool colors to choose from. Then I looked at the price, hoping it would be expensive so that I would not buy it, but then it was just P29.50, how couldn't I say no?

It's called Diffi. I don't know where it's made from though. It doesn't have a specific name for each color too, just a number at the bottom.

This one's M32. In real life it looks like a blueish-purple, and it's matte. Sorry for the crappy webcam photo.

And this one's B22. It's just a gray color. This was the first one I wanted to get since I can't find a good gray matte colors from the local brands here in the Philippines.

Over all, I love it. I'm going back to buy more since it IS very cheap. :D

Revlon Photoready Foundation

Hey everyone! It's already October, crazy right? I think 2010 went by so fast. :/

So anyways, this week's going to be the last for our first semester, which means we have a break after, for like 3 weeks. :/

This is just going to be a quick post about the Revlon Photoready Foundation which I got from a swap a couple months back. I never really had the time to play around with it, until today. I tried taking pictures with me wearing it. :)

Excuse the brows, and excuse me for being such a camwhore. ;) I got the shade 006 Medium Beige. I actually like it compared to Colorstay. It looks and feels much lighter. I must agree that it works well for photos. :)

Yes, you got that right. I decided to make a blog post since I can't sleep and I have to do something to keep myself busy, yay for that! :)

Sooo, I just want to share some pictures with you all. Things that happened a couple months back, when I went MIA. ;)

First up, my highschool friend asked me to do her makeup for their ballet recital. At first, I was kinda hesitant because doing other people's makeup is such a tough job for me, since I'm not used to it. But in the end though, I took the challenge. :) PS, please don't laugh on how I did her look, I know I suck. But hey, it was just for fun. :p

Next up, my 18th birthday. Here in the Philippines, we usually throw a huge party when girls turn 18, but I decided not to. I was just being practical. ;) I didn't have any plans, but my friend decided to throw me a surprise party which was very sweet. Part 2 was actually in our dorm, my dormies and cousin suprised me with 2 cakes. :D

Last one, some recent pictures of me. Just a proof that I'm still alive. :p Just kidding. I just wanna share pictures of me wearing the Myra VitaGlow Tinted Moisturizer which I've been kinda loving. ;)

I used MAC MSFN to set it, and NARS Orgasm Blush for my cheeks. So far, I'm liking the combination! ;)

Hey ya'll! Yes, I am still alive and kicking. ^_^

My last blog post was about 4 months ago, crazy! I am very sorry for my absence. Here's a quick update about my life:

-Shifted course, from Nursing to Human Resource Management. I tried very hard to love Nursing, but it didn't work out.
-My laptop, and his name's Pablo, isn't with me, thus, the lack of post.
-Had summer classes, everyday. I pretty much spent all my summer at school. No vacation for me.
-I *kinda* got my heart broken over the summer. :|
-Now I'm a college sophomore, yay! :)
-My birthday's in a week, turning 18. Not that excited. ;)
-Exam week next week, that sucks. -.-
-My blog's turning one year old this month, I can't remember the exact day though.
-I haven't been buying makeup for the past couple of months, but I'm still swapping. ;)

That's basically it. Again, I'm sorry for being MIA. I hope you're all doing good. I missed blogging. :)

Remember this post? I said I'm not gonna buy anything for lent. Well guess what? I broke it. I feel so bad for breaking it, but I just can't help it. Maybe it's not the right time yet? Maybe I'll do it when I'm REALLY ready.

Oh well, wanna know what made me break my no-buy? It's this..

It's the most hyped MAC Ripe Peach Blush Ombre. I didn't get it myself, I asked sis Em, who has been my textmate for the past few days. ;) She told me that if I want something, I'd just tell her, since she knows MAC isn't availabe here in Davao. It took me days to decide if I should get this or not, and so, I gave in. I asked her to reserve one for me, this was even before the collection was released. She texted someone from MAC, and boom, I got one for myself. ^_^ I heard it's OOS everywhere, so I feel very lucky. This is probably my last blush purchase (I also said this to myself when I bought NARS O. LOL). I'd rather buy it for P1470 ($29) as to Ebay's $70 which is crazyyy. :O It looks very pretty, reminds me of sunset. I haven't even swatched it yet, I just like looking at it. I know, I'm a dork. :p

And also, I got this..

Sis Em included this, it was wrapped and I seriously thought it was food. It's the Etude House Duo Fiber Cheek Brush, this has been on my wishlist for quite a long time already, and she included one. I'm sooo happy! :D

Don't you just love kind and generous people?

If you're familiar with MakeupAlley, then you probably know what RAOK is, or Random Act of Kindess. Some people give their used or unused stuff since they're not using it and it's much better to give it to those who would enjoy it. 2 weeks ago, I received a message on MUA from a lady, she asked me if I wanted MAC Mercurial Mineralize Eyeshadow as an RAOK, I thought she wasn't serious, but she was. She even let me choose from her list, but the eyeshadow was already enough for me, so I chose not to. ;)

Today I got the stuff she sent me. I just love receiving stuff in the mail. :)

I ordered some NYX stuff the day before Valentine's day. A sad excuse to get myself a little treat for Vday. ;)

Look at how well Ms. Armie packed the items, pretty good huh? Two thumbs up!

But dear oh dear, this article just drove me nuts. Thanks to Thia for sharing this.

Blogging is my secret hideaway. People I know in real life doesn't have any idea I have one. I guess I just don't want them to know what I've been doing. This blog is especially made for ya'll lovely ladies on blogger, and not people I know in real life.

So what drove me into making my own blog? Well, I started out as a reader. Just reading and lurking around people's blogger. I noticed how friendly and kind people were to each other. Just by reading blogs, you could learn anything and everything under the sun: beauty, fashion, life, you name it. I found all these very interesting which led me to making my own blog. The main purpose of all these is to continue helping out and inspiring other girls.

Starting out was pretty easy, I felt that sense of belongingness. I guess it's because of the warm welcome people give you. I know it's weird though, all these ladies being really nice to you when you don't even know each other in real life. After months of blogging, I finally understood why. We are all here because of one reason, we love makeup, fashion, beauty stuff. That's all our common denominator why we get along so well. All these ladies here, I treat them as if they were all my sisters. Sisters that I never had. This is like my 2nd family, while MakeupAlley's my 3rd. ;)

We do what we do to help other ladies. We make reviews out of our personal experiences, a review from a 'normal' person's point of view. Not because we're not makeup artist doesn't mean we can't make one. Not because we're not makeup artist doesn't mean we can't put on makeup, and use great products. We don't go out here and claim that we're professional makeup artists. Although some of our friends here are, but they don't brag about how they work as a professional makeup artist. They keep their feet on the ground and act as if they were normal. Not like others who's using their profession just to be noticed, or to feel like they're on top. I'm sorry to say this though, you're not on top. We are all equal.

I say, fuck off and leave beauty bloggers alone. We all love what we're doing and no one could stop us, not even a 'professional makeup artist'. Sheesh. Seriously? Throwing a question 'Is Blogging the new media?' is just plain dumb. Can't think of any topic to put up on your site? Then think harder next time. Better yet, research harder.

PS, blogger ladies, ya'll are awesome. Keep doing what you're doing. ILY. :)

I don't talk much about my hair in here. Only because I find my hair pretty boring. Like a typical hair. Sometimes gorgeous, sometimes a big pain in the ass. I've had a fair share of hair mishap. I'm gonna show you one picture. Be warned people.

Full bangs? Seriously? Full freakin' bangs?! My mom's friend did this to me. He was like, oh I'll give you an awesome new look since you're gonna be in college soon, blah blah. Turned out to be a hideous cut. Full bangs would surely look good on other people, not on me. I spent literally the whole summer just inside the house. I didn't wanna be seen in public looking like that.

I'm kinda contented with my hair right now. While I was preparing for class earlier, I decided to take pictures of my hair. Usually if I have the time to fix my hair, I blow dry it with electric fan. I don't want to use blow dryer because I'm too lazy, and too much heat could damage the hair.

This is the before pictures. Haven't brushed my hair yet and it's still wet.

Aaand after. All dried up and ready to go. :D

Today, February 17 is the start of Lent season. Some people give up something as a sacrifice or something. I don't usually do this, but now that I'm older, I've decided to give in. For the past few weeks, I've been having fun on MakeupAlley. There was this one lady who first made a plan of not buying any makeup during the season of Lent. She encouraged other ladies and formed a group, kinda like a support team. And yes, I joined. I'm officially not buying makeup staring today, February 17, unti April 4. There's an exception for me though, swapping and buying moisturizer. :p So no hauls for me ladies. This blog would pretty much be lame for the next 40 days. I think I'ma have to do a lot of reviews then. Do you have any suggestions of what I could posr? Any suggestion?

So that's it ladies, it's now official. I just pray to God I could hold up. Wish me luck. :)

Happy Late Valentine's Day to all!.. and a Quickie. ;)

As always, I'm always late in greeting. But hey, better late than never. ;) Happy Valentine's Day ladies. I hope you had a blast with your loved ones. As for me, I spent Vday with my bestie, we went to Church then watched Legion. Movie house was full of couples and families. I enjoyed the movie though, and my bestfriend made it more fun. :)

Yes, just a quickie haul. I came back from the mall and the guard handed me something. It's actually from a swap I did. I was dying to try out Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Pink Please, and the lady I swapped with was kind enough to do a custom purchase. :D

I'm actually wearing the lipstick. Initial review? I love it! I love the color. I wanna try out the others. There's 2 shades I wanna get, Born With It and Totally Toffee. Just have to figure out how I could get it. ;)

Now I'm starting to like swapping. It's fun. Woot! :D

And oh! One of my blogger friend is going to celebrate her birthday tomorrow, Feb. 16. Guess who? Not gonna tell. Find out who. :p

Review: Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner

Since I looove this so much, I thought it would just be right if I do a review about it. ;)

This post is going to be about the much raved about drugstore eyeliner, Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner. I've heard a lot about this, both in YouTube and MakeupAlley. Unfortunately, it isn't available here. I decided to check out Ebay.ph and found a seller that was selling one, but it's in the shade Eggplant. I prefer a black liner so I didn't get it. Until one night, while I was checking out the seller's items, I saw that she was selling a black one, and it's the only one. Without even thinking, I pressed Buy Now. She was selling it for P100 ($2) which was very cheap. So after a few days, I got it. I tried it on immediately, and BAM! I was in love. It glided smoothly, and the color was pretty intense.

-Dries up quickly (I have to work fast ~if I'm not in a hurry)
-Hard to take off
-Not available locally (But I heard there's a 99 store selling it in Luzon)

Will I repurchase? Of course! IF it was available here. -_-

Ladies, if you have the chance to get this wonderful eyeliner, then grab it. I swear, you won't regret it. And for just a couple of bucks, there's nothing to lose. Go! ^_^

In just 2 says, it's going to be Valentine's day. I know everyone's excited, I am too. Even though I don't have a 'special someone' as of the moment. I've decided to go home tomorrow because I might go gaga if I won't. Seeing all these boys and girls happy during Valentine's day just makes me sad. Where's mine? :)) Kidding. xD

Here's my Valentine's day look, consists of purple and pink because I so love those two colors. And excuse the pictures too, I kinda got carried away and camwhored a little. ;) Be warned, picture heavy.

Hey ladies, this isn't a makeup related post, it's a rant. If you're not interested, you can just leave. I respect that. :)

For 5 years, I've been an avid Friendster user. I remember using pictures of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton as my default picture, LOL. It was fun, connects you with people. One day, I talked to someone, she gave me a link to Robert Pattinson's 'real' Facebook page, silly me hurriedly made an account and added him. After a few weeks of bragging to my classmates that Robert's my friend, he cancelled his account. I decided to cancel mine too because Facebook was just too complicated. I went back to Friendster. Summer of last year, out of boredom, I activated my account again, I slowly learned how to work Facebook and totally ignored my Friendster. It was fun, I got addicted to playing Pet Society. As months passed by, more and more people joined Facebook.

Now on to the rant. THE APPLICATIONS ARE DRIVING ME NUTS. Seriously, the pillow throwing application's flooding my wall like crazy. And all these nasty and nonsense picture that people put up and tag other people is just out of this world. Some even get images from Tumblr, post it up on their page and tag people, that's like stealing the work of others. Jeez, I know you can do anything and everything you want on Facebook, but can't people just think about others too? -_-

I'm sorry. I just had to let it out. We all have our own opinion, and, this is mine. :)

Just when I thought I was on a no-buy mode, I went off to the mall and bought something. Yeah, I was trying to go on a no-buy, unfortunately, I failed. :/

Alrighty, let's get on to the liiiittle haul. Thanks to Aicha, she told me where I could find L.A. Colors in Davao, I went to the mall right away. And yes, it was there. They have a lot of stuff from the said brand, plus, the prices were reasonable. They had a huge selection too. My main goal was to get some palette, luckily, I found the palette I've been wanting to try for a long time. :D

Here's a simple EOTD I did a couple of days ago. I actually used silver shadow for the lids, but it faded, so now it looks white. So, it's gonna be a white and purple look, and also a little black to give a little depth. I used my Wet n Wild creme liner, I must say, I love it to bits. Now I'm searching like crazy to get a back-up of it, that's how awesome it is. Could anyone help me to get a back-up of it, please? :( Maybe I should do a review about it when I have time. O_o

Hello my lovely ladies. How are you all doing? I hope you're all happy and fine. Wow. Time has been running sooo fast, and we can't deny the fact that 2010 is fast approaching. As much as I want to slow it down, I can't help but wonder what 2010 would bring us. But, before we all get excited, I just wanna share with you a couple of things that I learned in 2009. This year passed by hella fast, I know a lot has happened, but I forgot what it was. Took me 2 days to think about doing this post or not. Looking back 2009 literally gave me a headache, I was trying to remember the highlights of it. Well anyways, let's get on with the main purpose of this post. Here are the things that I learned this year:

- Cherish every moment you have with your loved ones, because that may be the last time you'd ever be with them.
- Talking behind a person's back is a big no no, you'll never know how much trouble it would cause you. :\
- Time really does heal any wound.
- Having a lot of enemy is hard, real hard.
- Learn to forgive, and ask for forgiveness.
- Friendship is very important. When going through a rough road, try your very best to fix things up.
- Fight for your rights.
- Do not judge a person by simply looking at him/her.
- You'll know who your true friend are in times of sorrow and defeat.
- Always use both your heart and mind together, and use it wisely.
- Like and love, two different words, with two different meaning.
- Do not rush into things, take it slow.
- Spend your money wisely.
- Sometimes, internet isn't good.
- You'll know how important a person is when he/she is gone.
- God made us all fairly.
- Life isn't all easy. Sometimes your up, and sometimes your down.
- We all make mistakes.
- Everyone deserves a second chance.
- It's important to take extra care of yourself.
- Be contented and make use of what you have.
- Want and need, there's a difference.
- Moisturizer is a must.
- Revlon, Maybelline, and L'oreal isn't the most expensive brand of makeup. LOL.
- Don't forget to unplug the iron when you're done using it.Oops.

Looks like I learned a lot huh? Nope, the list isn't done yet, and it goes on and on. This year was full of ups and downs. All we have to do now is remember all the things that happened, keep it in our hearts. Let us all leave the past behind and move forward. Let's welcome 2010 with a big smile and make it a good one. :D

Hello ladies! How are you all? I bet ya'll are busy doing your Christmas shopping. Just like all of you, I love Christmas too. Who doesn't, right? :D

-First, my laptop's charger is broken.

Update on my skin dilemma. -_-

I hate my skin. :(

Just last week, I bought myself a new moisturizer as seen in my haul post. It was Biore Shine Control Moisturizer, and as what I've said in my other post ages ago, my skin has been really dry. Man I'm stupid, I bought a moisturizer which is formulated for oily skin. Yes, my skin's oily when it's humid, or when I'm sweating and under the sun. But I've observed that my skin gets very dry when I'm inside an airconditoned room. To make it worse, all the classes I go to everyday are rooms with aircon, which sucks. I feel like my whole face is dry, especially around my nose and mouth, sometimes my cheeks and forehead.

I'm thinking about getting another moisturizer, I'm still gonna be using my Biore one, but this time it's gonna be my day moisurizer. Now I'm torn between two products which I could use as my night moisturizer. These are readily available here in Davao that's why I'm stuck with two options. Here they are:

EOTD. Update. I think. O_o

Hey ladies. While I'm making this post, I'm also chatting with my lovely girlfriends, Thiamere and Gracie. Here's a shout out to both of you, it's been a long time since we had our last conference, I really enjoy all the things we talk about, *wink wink*. I missed you both so much. :)

So anyways, as the title says, this is an EOTD that I did awhile ago. Nothing special though, I was just bored that's why I played with my makeup and came up with a look. I actually did it to my right eye only because I was busy watching the TV. ^_^

Please excuse the nasty zit. ;)

I don't know if you could see it clearly though, but yeah, it's like a smokey eye look. Notice my lid? It has like 2 folds, weird. My right eye has been acting real weird this week.

And also, I got a haircut, nothing dramatic, it's just shorter.

Excuse the messy hair too, just came home from school.

Review: ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder Review

Finally, a review. It's been a long time since I made one. ^_^

For today's review, the spotlight's on the ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder. I've had this for like a month already, and I've used it for a couple of times, always actually. ;)

Now a closer look..

It's two products in one, there's a blush and bronzer. It is said to be a dupe of the NARS Orgasm/Laguna Duo, only difference is the packaging. ELF's compact has a plastic packaging, unlike NARS' which is rubber. It's a perfect size, not too small, and definitely not too big. It comes with a huge mirror inside, but there's no brush, which is still fine.

For a much closer look..

Let's start off with the blush. It's a peachy-pink shade with gold flex. It looks really pretty in the pan, but the shimmer's also scary. The very first time I tried the blush, there wasn't any peach nor pink color showing on my cheeks, I could only see shimmers. Tried another swipe and saw a little bit of color, and at the same time, more shimmer. It's a good thing that the shimmer's not chunky and huge, cause if it was, then I would look like a glitterball. One time, I went out under the sun wearing the blush, when I saw my reflection in the mirror, I saw the peachy-pink shade on my cheeks, and the shimmer wasn't that visible already. It just made me look more awake and glowing. I loved the effect. I think it lasted for four hours, which is alright with me.

This is honestly my first bronzer. I use it to contour my cheeks, but I find it too dark and unnatural. It is also shimmery just like the blush. Should be very careful in applying this, especially those with lighter skin. I think this is just an okay bronzer, not that crazy about it.

And now to sum it all up..

PROS:
- dirt cheap, $3
- comes with 2 products in 1 compact
- sleek packaging, plastic, thus, dirt wouldn't stick
- pigmented
- comes with a huge mirror

CONS:
- too shimmery
- bronzer's color is unnatural
- might be too light or too dark for others
- powdery
- poor lasting power

I would still recommend the ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder. I love it. :)

During my vacant period awhile ago, I decided to go to NCCC Mall to buy some stuff, it's kinda far from our school so I had to ride the jeep. I withdrew some cash and went to HB1. The main reason why I went there is to buy a moisturizer. Here's what I got..

This totally made my day. :D I've been waiting for this to arrive since Saturday, and after how many days, I now have it. I knew Air21 would deliver my baby around noon, so I went out to eat lunch, the guard handed me a little something.

Wanna know what I got? Well then, here it is..

Yeeeeees! For my very first swap I got my first NARS blush, and it's in Deep Throat. It's sooo pretty, I can stare at it forever. It's peachy-pink with gold shimmer. The shimmer's very subtle compared to the blush from the ELF blush/bronzer duo. I love it to bits. I wore it today and it just gave me a certain glow. I needed 2 swipes to make it show up on me, and it lasted for a long time.

a new moisturizer. OMG. Recently, my skin has been really really dry, and I don't know why. I need your suggestions ladies, I need like a cheap but effective moisturizer. I've used Celeteque already, it was alright, but I need a better one. I'm thinking about getting Clean & Clear, not the Philippine-made one, cause I've used that too, and it broke me out. Sooo yeah, a little help here. :)

~Our semestral break has already started, yay for that. I'm home right now, like home home. And it feels good to be back. I just sleep and eat everyday, talk about being a pig. LOL. Guess who? Mr. Mailman did! Woot! I was just chilling inside our dorm room, when suddenly, Mr. Guard knocked on the door and said, 'Someone's looking for Nicole, there's a letter for her, she has to pay P35'. I was like, OH NO. BUSTED. O_O Remember when I told you my mom's visiting me and she doesn't know about my dirty little secret? Well she's here, and now she knows. -_- But it's alright, I'm still happy. :D

3 weeks ago, I ordered something from Makeup Masala, well, not actually me. BTW, thank youuuu Thiamere for letting me borrow your CC, and advance happy birthday! Woot again! I was expecting it to arrive a month after, but it came in earlier, ohh yeah. It's actually my first time to try our PO, and I'm happy with my first experience. Mr. Mailman delivered it straight to our dorm, without me having to go to the post office and claim it.

Hey girls, just came back from the mall. Me and Aicha met up cause she bought a lippie. woot! Thanks for being my first customer sis. ;)

So anyways, after meeting up with her, I went straight to the cosmetics section, been a long time since I visited one. I checked out a sale rack with Cover Girl stuffies, my eyes caught the one and only shadow in the rack, and it was Champagne. Ohh yes, eureka moment baby. I've been looking for the perfect highlight color, and now I found it. I've seen xteeener and Duhpinayprincezz use this, that's why I got it. It was P114.95 before, and bought it for P99.95. Not bad. I also bought Careline's Glamour Eyes. It was also on sale, from P80.oo to P35.00, great deal! Though it's not as creamy as my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil, it still works well as a sticky base. I also bought this because I promised myself I'm gonna start buying Philippine-made cosmetics. ;)

I went home right away cause my mom's visiting me. For 5 months of staying here in Davao, this would be the 2nd time she'd be visiting. My mom doesn't have any idea that I buy makeup using my allowance. Bad bad girl. Now all my makeup's gone, I hid it inside a big bag, inside my cabinet. Sneaky. That way she won't see the skeletons inside my closet. LOL.

Just got home from school and I'm dead tired. I was planning to get some rest, but the TV was on and my cousin was watching the news, so I decided to join her. Typhoon Pepeng, the main issue amongst the news tonight. It is said that it's more stronger than Typhoon Ondoy, which is not a good news, at all. I can't help but worry. Hey ya'll. It's Friday once again, TGIF. So how was your week ladies? Was it fun? Stressful? Mine was fun and stressful, and it's all because of school. For 3 straight nights, I have been playing around with makeup, again. Now, I'm gonna be sharing the look that I did today. It's another purple, I wanted it to match my purple shirt. Sorry if the quality sucks, my camera's not the best. -_- Been very vain lately. LOL.

Notice my brows? I asked my mom to pluck it last weekend, cause I went home. I think she did a pretty good job, instead of going to the salon and getting it shaped, less hassle.

Today's a lazy Sunday. We're stuck here inside our room, doing nothing. What's a bored girl gonna do? Play around with makeup, yes. :) So I used the CG e/s I bought yesterday and came up with a sorta everyday look. I'ma call this, the Pink and Taupe Everyday Eye Look. ;)

I used my Adorned with Grace sample shadow in Sensitive, and Cover Girl Eye Enhancer in Tapestry Taupe, which I looove. :)

The light's washing out the color, I'm sorry. But that's it. Nothing special. Ciao ladies. ;)

Routine Tag. :)

I was tagged I think last week by sis Cha, thanks girl! It's the Routine Tag, which basically shows your daily routine. My routine's pretty simple and boring, I don't put a lot of makeup everyday, because I just think it's not appropriate for school, I mean like, being a freshman and all that, I think I should tone it down.

Now here's my daily rountine..

First, I wash my face with this soap that my mom gave me. It contains Ganoderma, Glutathione and Grapeseed. 3Gs? o.O Anyways, I like it cause it smells good and makes my skin soooft. :)

Second, moisturize using my Celeteque Facial Moisturizer. Moisturizing is a must! I like it cause it's cheap, water-based and oil-free. I've had this for 3 months already, and I haven't finished one tube, a little goes a long way.

The third one consists my face stuff. First, I apply concealer on my under-eye area, I'm using the NYX Concealer in a Jar in Beige, I like it cause it makes me look more awake. Then I apply my powder which is the Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Face Powder in Natural. I like it cause it goes on smoothly, and it feels light on the skin. I don't use foundation yet, cause I'm still on the hunt for a good and cheap one, what would you suggest ladies? And lastly, I apply my cheek tint. It's Careline's Lip and Cheek Tint. I've been using this for quite sometime now, I like it cause it gives me that natural flush, and it's very long-lasting, and not to mention the price, Ithink I bought this for P80 which is like less that $2. I don't use powder blush, and yes, I'm still on the hunt for one too, any suggestions? :)

Fourth, I prime my lips with my trusty petroleum jelly.

Fifth is the lippies. I only have 3 lippies, and I switch it up everyday. I use my NYX Round Lipstick in Tea Rose and Indian Pink, and my L'oreal Color Juice Stick in Personali-tea.

And last, but definitely not the least, I curl my lashes using this eyelash curler with no brand. It's cheap, but it does its job pretty well. I dont use mascara, cause I don't have one, and I think it's not that necessary for like an everyday kinda thing.

It's like, nearly 3 am, yet I'm still here, playing around with makeup. This isn't good anymore. Oh well, it's alright, cause I'm not that sleepy yet. I tried doing something purple. Just to warn you, my camera sucks, the lighting sucks, the look itself sucks. LOL. So anyways, here's the eye look I came up with.

That's it. Still, excuse the thick and untidy brows, and also the pimples on my forehead. The BRTC BB cream might be causing those. Well that just sucks, I liked how the BB cream looks on my skin *sigh*. I still have a whole lot of BB creams to test, and hopefully, it'll not cause another break-out. Fingers crossed ladies. I have to go get some sleep now. Good mornight. Ciao! :)

Ola chicas! It's a Saturday night, woot! What have you all been doing? Well if you'd ask me, I've been pretty much doing.. nothing. :) So anyways, I'm gonna be sharing some stuff that I've bought since last week. It's not much, just some things that I got online, and from a bazaar.

First up..

Yes, BB cream samples, again. This time, it's Missha and Lioele. Got these from Ebay.

Second..

The seller included a very cute freebie. :)

I also got this from Ebay. It's L'oreal Color Juice Stick, and I got the shade Personali-tea. I mainly got this because Xteeener from YouTube likes this lippie. And it was on sale, got this for P150 ($3), how could I ever resist? ;)

And last but not the least..

Me and my friend, Greysh, went to MTS. She told me there was a bunch of Cover Girl eye shadows for P50 ($1), and yet again, how could I ever resist that? It was a flee market. There was a lot of clothes, bags, and shoes. I originally bought just 3 shadows, then went back to get another 1. :D

That's it. I've been buying stuff non-stop. This will surely be the last, cause I have no money to spend anymore. -_- Reviews coming up in a couple of days, or weeks. ;) Ya'll have a great weekend. Take care. :D

Friday Madness. :)

Oops. I was gonna say TGIF, but when I looked at the clock, it's already midnight, so TGIS then. ;) And yeeees, it's Saturday, I'm going home later, cause I don't wanna miss the Foam Party. Gensan's Tuna Festival, baby! It's time to par-taaaay! :D

Anyways, yesterday, which was Friday, my class ended at 2:30 and my next class was at 5:50. What's a lonely girl gotta do? Hit the malls, woot! But before that, I went back to the dorm to get some money, when I was logging in my name at the guard house, Mr. Guard handed me a purple and white bag. That was quite unexpected. Normally it would take 2-3 days for my stuff to arrive, when it's Air21. Thiamere, whom I really admire for being a kind friend, was unloading some stuff from her makeup stash. I then grabbed the chance cause she gave really cheap prices.

I was uber excited that's why I opened it right away, without taking pictures. I totally forgot. D:

Kudos to Thiamere for the effort in packing it. It was wrapped with all these bubble wrap, and OMG, it was freakin' hard to open. :))

This is what I was looking forward to the most. Thanks to Gracie for allowing me to have it. ;)

She also gave me some stuff. An eye shadow palette which would be really helpful during my play time, which is when I'm making my 'EOTD', eek. So not used to saying that. D: And some BB cream sample. Missha, at last, we've met. :D

And on to my small haul. As what I've said, I went to the malls, yes mallS. I went to this one mall cause the last time I was there, the full-sized Maybelline Angelfit Liquid Foundation was 50% off, and it was so cheap. Unfortunately, it was all sold out. The SA told me that there might be a sale at the other mall too, but I decided to stroll around. I was searching for some mini drawer, like the storage thing, a new home for my makeup. But it was so expensive, I decided not to get it. I went to the other mall, and their foundation wasn't 50% off, bummer. I decided to search for some mini drawer, and there wasn't any. I think I'm just gonna buy the Hello Kitty drawer which I've been wanting for how many weeks now. I didn't want to go home, I had to buy something.

~I decided to get the Maybelline Clear Smooth Powder. I've seen a lot of girls use it, and it was cheap, that's why I got it. I'll do a review about it after taking it to a road test. ;)

After hitting the malls, I went home and rested for a little bit. My class was at 5:50, but I went to school at 6, I was that tired. After how many minutes of waiting for our teacher, he called and told us that there would be no class. Darn it. I should have went home, like home home. -_- Oh well, have a great and safe weekend ladies. Take care. :)

Hey chicas! :) I haven't been blogging that much, just posting some contests and giveaways. But now I'm here for a little update and haul.

Gracie asked me why I don't do EOTDs, like other girls. I told her I don't have enough tools. LOL. And I dont have the guts because I'm not good with makeup, at all. But for the past few days, I've been playing around with my limited resources. I'ma show ya'll an attempted EOTD, which is a total fail, BTW. :)) Please don't laugh, cause I'm just starting out. Practice make perfect, right? :)

Now let's get to my haul. I ordered some BRTC samples 2 weeks ago, and at last, it arrived safely.

And now I have 12 samples. Lucky me. :D

Just fooling around ladies. So anyways, TGIF, and hello weekend! Come on, do the chicken dance with me. ;D Man, oh oopsie, ladies I mean, this week was hella exhausting. I need to strive harder for the midterms, like real hard. Now enough blabbing, and on to the review.. ;)

Ehem. Presenting. My babies, Tea Rose and Indian Pink!

Indian Pink, me love. <3

Indian Pink's a pretty color, though I wasn't quite sure in getting this, but I had no choice that's why I got it. There's a lot of reviews about this shade, some are positive, some are negative. Some say it isn't really a pink color, more like an orangey color. For me though, it's like a coralish color with gold flex, and it's frosted. It could be an everyday lipstick, if and only if. you apply it with just a thin layer. I once read in MUA that this is like NARS' orgasm, just a lippie version of it. Well, don't ask me, cause I havent tried NARS. ;)

Tea Rose, me love too. <3

It's now time for Tea Rose to shine. It's a matte, medium pink color. I like it cause you can build up the color, if you want it like a nude pink color, then apply it thinly, if you want it like a more vivid pink, then apply it thickly. Just like that. Now I see why people like this a lot.

See? I am totally inlove with these lipsticks, can't help but stare at them all day. I'm starting to collect NYX products now, cause I know it's worth it. So far, they've been living up to my expectations. I think NYX is underpricing their products, don't you think?o_O So cheap yet so purrr-tay!;)

3, 2, 1.. Pros and Cons Tiiiiiime! :p

Pros:
-very creamy
-feels light on the lips
-very moisturizing
-glides on smoothly
-wide range of colors, from nudes to darks, from matte to shimmer.
-very cheap. (a lot of sites sell NYX for a much cheaper price than NYX's site.)

Cons:
-not long-lasting at all.
-the smell. ugh! Here we go again with the smell. It doesn't have a distracting weird smell though, it just smells like plain lipstick. I could still handle that. ;)
-and yet again, not available locally. (NYX people, here me out, puh-lease!)

More pros than cons, right? That's a good sign. Goes to show that you should all get it too. It's worth it, I promise. ;) I wanna get more, I wanna get them ALL. Bahaha! Talk about obsession.

Time for some Mini Haul. ;]

Hey ya'll. How are you all ladies doing? Doing good eh? That's great! :p Just an update, no class tomorrow. Woot! :D Me and my girlfriends are planning to go to China Town tomorrow, unfortunately, can't shop 'til I drop cause I got no $$$. :))

Yes ladies, the title says it all. First haul of the month, probably the last too. ;) I really have to save up, I've been spending my allowance like crazy! Mom's gonna kill me. AaAah! So on to the haul.. Finally, I have my own NYX round lippies. Yehey! Been waiting for these babies for how many weeks, and they're finally here with me. :D I paid on Wednesday, the seller, Cherie, shipped it the day after, and I got it yesterday. That was honestly a long wait, in my own opinion, Air21 sucks. I hurriedly went home and asked the guard if there's a package for me, and alas! He handed me my babies. ;)

It was wrapped inside a bubble wrap, kudos to Cherie for wrapping it real well. ;)

She also included a little gift. I am loving the color. ;]

I got a love letter, I'm the first customer. :D

Good morning lovely chicas! Happy 22nd of July. OMG. July's gonna end soon?! D: Well that was fast huh? So anyways, our university doesn't have class for like 3 days. Add the weekend, and that gives me 5 days of freedom! Woot! So later, I'm gonna be going home, back to my city, which gives me three hours, just sitting on a bus, doing nothing, nothing at all. With no laptop, and no cellphone (FYI, my phone was stolen about 2 or 3 weeks ago, it was snatched by 2 guys with a motorcycle. I know, right? Tragic. -_-).

Alrighty, let's get to the main point, shall we? This post is all about NYX again. Yes, I know. I'm a NYX whore, I'm sorry, can't help it. I'm enamored. While I was blog.hopping yesterday, I came across Sis Angie's post (Do check her out, BTW. Here's a link to here blog site.). Alrighty, on to the topic. She said that she was lemming for some NYX lippies, and so I suggested a site. As we all know, NYX isnt available locally here in the Philippines. I have heard that there's a mall in Cebu which carries NYX, but we can't go to Cebu just to buy NYX, right? ;) I've been looking for some NYX products for quite sometime also, but ordering from infamous sites like Cherry Culture and Makeup Masala wasnt an option, because just like her, I dont have a paypal account, or some credit card. I found a lot of resellers on multipy though. They're selling it for a higher price, but it's understandable, cause they have to pay for the taxes and stuff. But I also found resellers who sell the products for a much more higher price. I found a newly-opened store on multiply who sells NYX stuff for reasonable prices. Though her products arent onhand just like other stores, there's some NYX products and L.A Colors that will be arriving by the 27th of July. I've also reserved some lippies, which I'm very excited about. Not only does she carry NYX, nor L.A Colors, but also, she has a wide range of brands to choose from. Last night, oh wait, make that awhile ago, when I was about to go to sleep, I checked eBay and looked at some random stuff. Yet again, I found some good finds. Not thinking if it's authentic nor brand new, I placed a bid. -_- Stupid me. Apparently, I'm winning. Noooo. The bidding ends after 2 days, I sure do hope someone bids higher so I wont get those shadows. ;)

If you live in the Philippines, well then, good morning chicas. :) Wow. It's already July 19 eh? Time flies oh so fast. Yes, I'm still up, and it's nearly 1am. Can't sleep, and I'm hella bored. Been blog-hopping the whole day, which was my time-waster, instead of studying, I was blog-hopping. Bad Nicole, bad. I'm sorry, I can't help it. ;) So anyways, dorm's really lame right now, all the people went home, or went out, lucky them. While I'm here, stuck. I just wanna share with you guys, or should I say girls, some random photos. Enjoy. ;)

ARTDECO Eyeshadow Base

I'm on the hunt for the perfect eyeshadow base. But, UDPP and TFSI waaaay too expensive, and I'm just a student, with no extra $$$. On the other hand, I've read a lot of good reviews about the ARTDECO eyeshadow primer, and I'm dying to get my hands on one of those. It's by far the cheapest primer that I know, and I wanna try it so bad. So anywho, we have an ARTDECO stand in one of the malls here in Davao, unfortunately, they have no eyeshadow base. I think the SL doesnt even know what that is. Probably out of stock?o_O I dont think so, i've been checking the stand for months, but still no eyeshadow base.-_- I guess I'll just have to wait a little more huh? PATIENCE WOMAN, PATIENCE! :))

A new friend of mine, Manju, tagged me. She's such a sweet and pretty girl. And she also loves Gossip Girl, just like me! :D Anywho, thanks for tagging me Manju. This is actually my first tag, so yay for me. :D

When I first read this, I was like, O_O. I dunno what to write. Oh well, I'ma try my best. :)

1. Picture (I actually got 2 pictures, is that okay? ;D)

This picture was taken 3 years ago, it's our first and last family picture. One and only family picture. :( But yeah, its a long story though. I wont be the person I am today without them, I love my family. :)

My chicas, my girlfriends. We've been through a lot. And I love them all for being such good friends. :D

2. a Poem
Honestly, I'm not a poetic kinda person, so this one's hard. -_- But oh well, i chose the poem How Do I Love Thee? by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. I knew about this poem because of our english class back in highschool, and it goes like this:

BOXER SHORTS! love love love these things. It has cute designs and it's veeery comfy. ;)

I don't like swimming at the beach, but I love sitting by the sea shore. I like the sound of the waves crashing, and how the cold wind hits my skin. The sea's just too calming. :)

7. a Disney Princess

I love all Disney princesses. I all envy them for being so pretty and for having such hot and handsome prince-charmings. I grew up loving and looking up to Pochahontas. She's very simple, yet pretty. I also love the strength she carries within. :)

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss Review

Ola chicas! Today I'm gonna be doing a review about the 2 NYX lip gloss that I got from EBAY last week. It's the NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss, also known as the Goddess of the Night Lip Gloss, which is which? I have no idea. ;) I got these two glosses all for the price of P155, which is like $3.10. Good deal, right? I got the shades Lollipop and Sweetheart. :) Here are some of the pictures:

Here are the swatches of the 2 lip gloss that I got:

This one's Sweetheart, and it's a pink frosty color. When i first applied it on my lips, it was like, BAM! Pamela Anderson baby! :D But yeah, i didn't like it that much at first, it was too baby pink, and too pornstar-ish that it didnt look nice at all. This color doesnt suit me at all. But then when I applied it with just a thin layer, it was waaay better. I think it would be better if you'd apply lipstick under it which is a darker shade when you use this lipgloss. This shade is better when ya'll lighter-skinned girls use it. :)

The other one's Lollipop. I am inlove with this lipgloss, like for real. I think this would be suitable for any skin color. It's a peachy nude color, this would be perfect for an everyday simple makeup, to a dark smokey eye look. Very versatile i must say. I think all Filipinas should get this color cause it's really nice. :D And oh! i first heard about this color because of Ana, also known as DuhPinayPrincezz on youtube, she said it's her new favorite lipgloss, so i asked her if it suits Filipina girls, and she said yes. So, thank you Ana. :)

Alrighty, lets get to the point, the Pros and the Cons.

Pros:
-not too sticky
-not too thick
-wide range of colors
-very pigmented
-very cheap
-the doe foot applicator does the job perfectly

Cons:
-the artificial cherry smell (i could handle this, but i dunno with other people.)
-not that long-lasting
-not available locally, which SUCKS! -.-

Will I repurchase? YES! Definitely. Its real cheap, and it has a lot of colors to choose from, and I want to get them all. I'm inlove with NYX mega shine lipgloss. <3 style="text-align: right;">Nicole <3

July 14, Tuesday, it felt like a normal lame day, like nothing special's going on, but, truth is, it was my freakin' 17th bday baby! Belated Happy Birthday Nicole! :D Soooo yeah, before that, i kept on singing the song from the movie Sound of Music, and it goes like this, 'I am 16, going on 17, I know that I'm naive.' :) Love that song! Anyways, it was our prelims, that's why I wasnt THAT excited, bummer. It was also my first birthday away from my fam in Gensan, which was sad. :( Later that night, while I was busy surfing the net with my dormies, Angela and Quenny, my highschool classmates came over and brought cake and a whole bunch of balloons. It was so sweet of them. Thank you you two. ;) I got to share the cake with some of my dormies, and had the chance to talk to Mr. Swiss and Mr. Switzerland, effin' hot. :D

Hey hey chicas! you're probably thinking like, 'who the heck is this girl?!'. so before I start off, I'ma tell you a little about myself. My name is Nicole, a 17 year old chica from GenSan, but is currently living in Davao because of my studies, and yes, I am a BSN student.
Im new with this blog thing, so excuse me for the ignorance.;) I love love looooove MAKEUP! or anything that has something to do with beauty. and oh! also fashion. Im a youtube addict, I think I have watched each and every haul, review and tutorial on youtube. bahaha! just kidding. ;) I love colors, idk if that made sense, but i looove all the colors. lol. that was random.
