Christmas Present. :)

Hey everyone. Yesterday was happy day for me, it's because my grandpa bought me his Christmas gift. My laptop Fernando has been put to rest for a couple of months now, that's the reason why I haven't been blogging that much. My cousin just lets me borrow hers when I need to do something online. About a month ago, I asked my grandpa if I could get a new toy for Christmas and he said yes. I decided to get a netbook since it's small and I could easily bring it to school. As I'm making this post, I'm using my new netbook. Exciting. :D And of course, I named him already. His name is Rambo. ;) I have a thing for naming my toys.

That's it for my quick post. I can now officially start blogging again. Before I end this, I'm gonna leave you a photo of what I've been eating since yesterday.

I'm loving my brows. :))

Honestly, I envy people with perfect brows. I hate mine with a passion. Well, not really, I just don't like it. I talked about it here, I did the My Perfect Imperfections Tag.

Anyway, I've been watching a lot of brow tutorials on YouTube, I tried it tonight,and voila! It still doesn't look right. I decided to give up and just play around. Here's the outcome:







Do you like it? Me? I love it. I think it's not over the top, and it's perfect for everyday. ;D

Just because it's almost 2 in the morning, and I can't go to be. > :(

Yes, you got that right. I decided to make a blog post since I can't sleep and I have to do something to keep myself busy, yay for that! :)

Sooo, I just want to share some pictures with you all. Things that happened a couple months back, when I went MIA. ;)

First up, my highschool friend asked me to do her makeup for their ballet recital. At first, I was kinda hesitant because doing other people's makeup is such a tough job for me, since I'm not used to it. But in the end though, I took the challenge. :) PS, please don't laugh on how I did her look, I know I suck. But hey, it was just for fun. :p

Next up, my 18th birthday. Here in the Philippines, we usually throw a huge party when girls turn 18, but I decided not to. I was just being practical. ;) I didn't have any plans, but my friend decided to throw me a surprise party which was very sweet. Part 2 was actually in our dorm, my dormies and cousin suprised me with 2 cakes. :D

Last one, some recent pictures of me. Just a proof that I'm still alive. :p Just kidding. I just wanna share pictures of me wearing the Myra VitaGlow Tinted Moisturizer which I've been kinda loving. ;)

I used MAC MSFN to set it, and NARS Orgasm Blush for my cheeks. So far, I'm liking the combination! ;)

Rant isn't my thing..

But dear oh dear, this article just drove me nuts. Thanks to Thia for sharing this.

Blogging is my secret hideaway. People I know in real life doesn't have any idea I have one. I guess I just don't want them to know what I've been doing. This blog is especially made for ya'll lovely ladies on blogger, and not people I know in real life.

So what drove me into making my own blog? Well, I started out as a reader. Just reading and lurking around people's blogger. I noticed how friendly and kind people were to each other. Just by reading blogs, you could learn anything and everything under the sun: beauty, fashion, life, you name it. I found all these very interesting which led me to making my own blog. The main purpose of all these is to continue helping out and inspiring other girls.

Starting out was pretty easy, I felt that sense of belongingness. I guess it's because of the warm welcome people give you. I know it's weird though, all these ladies being really nice to you when you don't even know each other in real life. After months of blogging, I finally understood why. We are all here because of one reason, we love makeup, fashion, beauty stuff. That's all our common denominator why we get along so well. All these ladies here, I treat them as if they were all my sisters. Sisters that I never had. This is like my 2nd family, while MakeupAlley's my 3rd. ;)

We do what we do to help other ladies. We make reviews out of our personal experiences, a review from a 'normal' person's point of view. Not because we're not makeup artist doesn't mean we can't make one. Not because we're not makeup artist doesn't mean we can't put on makeup, and use great products. We don't go out here and claim that we're professional makeup artists. Although some of our friends here are, but they don't brag about how they work as a professional makeup artist. They keep their feet on the ground and act as if they were normal. Not like others who's using their profession just to be noticed, or to feel like they're on top. I'm sorry to say this though, you're not on top. We are all equal.

I say, fuck off and leave beauty bloggers alone. We all love what we're doing and no one could stop us, not even a 'professional makeup artist'. Sheesh. Seriously? Throwing a question 'Is Blogging the new media?' is just plain dumb. Can't think of any topic to put up on your site? Then think harder next time. Better yet, research harder.


PS, blogger ladies, ya'll are awesome. Keep doing what you're doing. ILY. :)

Lessons learned in 2009. :)

Hello my lovely ladies. How are you all doing? I hope you're all happy and fine. Wow. Time has been running sooo fast, and we can't deny the fact that 2010 is fast approaching. As much as I want to slow it down, I can't help but wonder what 2010 would bring us. But, before we all get excited, I just wanna share with you a couple of things that I learned in 2009. This year passed by hella fast, I know a lot has happened, but I forgot what it was. Took me 2 days to think about doing this post or not. Looking back 2009 literally gave me a headache, I was trying to remember the highlights of it. Well anyways, let's get on with the main purpose of this post. Here are the things that I learned this year:

- Cherish every moment you have with your loved ones, because that may be the last time you'd ever be with them.
- Talking behind a person's back is a big no no, you'll never know how much trouble it would cause you. :\
- Time really does heal any wound.
- Having a lot of enemy is hard, real hard.
- Learn to forgive, and ask for forgiveness.
- Friendship is very important. When going through a rough road, try your very best to fix things up.
- Fight for your rights.
- Do not judge a person by simply looking at him/her.
- You'll know who your true friend are in times of sorrow and defeat.
- Always use both your heart and mind together, and use it wisely.
- Like and love, two different words, with two different meaning.
- Do not rush into things, take it slow.
- Spend your money wisely.
- Sometimes, internet isn't good.
- You'll know how important a person is when he/she is gone.
- God made us all fairly.
- Life isn't all easy. Sometimes your up, and sometimes your down.
- We all make mistakes.
- Everyone deserves a second chance.
- It's important to take extra care of yourself.
- Be contented and make use of what you have.
- Want and need, there's a difference.
- Moisturizer is a must.
- Revlon, Maybelline, and L'oreal isn't the most expensive brand of makeup. LOL.
- Don't forget to unplug the iron when you're done using it.Oops.

Looks like I learned a lot huh? Nope, the list isn't done yet, and it goes on and on. This year was full of ups and downs. All we have to do now is remember all the things that happened, keep it in our hearts. Let us all leave the past behind and move forward. Let's welcome 2010 with a big smile and make it a good one. :D

Good morning lovely chicas! Happy 22nd of July. OMG. July's gonna end soon?! D: Well that was fast huh? So anyways, our university doesn't have class for like 3 days. Add the weekend, and that gives me 5 days of freedom! Woot! So later, I'm gonna be going home, back to my city, which gives me three hours, just sitting on a bus, doing nothing, nothing at all. With no laptop, and no cellphone (FYI, my phone was stolen about 2 or 3 weeks ago, it was snatched by 2 guys with a motorcycle. I know, right? Tragic. -_-).

Alrighty, let's get to the main point, shall we? This post is all about NYX again. Yes, I know. I'm a NYX whore, I'm sorry, can't help it. I'm enamored. An early morning post. :)

If you live in the Philippines, well then, good morning chicas. :) Wow. It's already July 19 eh? Time flies oh so fast. Yes, I'm still up, and it's nearly 1am. Can't sleep, and I'm hella bored. Been blog-hopping the whole day, which was my time-waster, instead of studying, I was blog-hopping. Bad Nicole, bad. I'm sorry, I can't help it. ;) So anyways, dorm's really lame right now, all the people went home, or went out, lucky them. While I'm here, stuck. I just wanna share with you guys, or should I say girls, some random photos. Enjoy. ;)
